About the Portland

Tucked away in the lovely back streets of St Albans, The Portland Arms is a welcoming pub with real heritage. It was built back in the 1800s and its history is tangible as you walk through the door – you’ll also notice the exceptional menu, great ales and plentiful entertainment.

Our irresistible menu features a strong emphasis on local produce, with many of our freshly prepared, home-cooked classics using locally sourced ingredients. There’s no shortage of choice here, with great daily specials complimenting our main menu; though of course on a Sunday, who needs choice? It surely has to be a succulent Sunday roast!
